The Writing Lives Story Project

I'll never forget hearing Maggie Anderson's voice on the phone the day she called to tell me my manuscript had been accepted for publication.  Now, more than six years later, both she and Alice still remember me when I have occasion to call or email.  The Wick Poetry Center has been incredibly supportive of both my work and my career - from publishing my chapbook to inviting me to read in their Visiting Writers Series to allowing me to meet with and talk to students about poetry, Maggie, Alice, and the Wick Poetry Center have been at the heart of it all.

Since the publication of Twenty Questions for Robbie Dunkle, I've continued to publish poems and reviews in journals.  I've also managed to complete a Ph.D. in literature from The University of Mississippi and am now teaching literature and creative writing at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA.  The Wick Program in general, and Maggie Anderson specifically, played a part in not only my success but my choice to continue down the road of writing and teaching.  Here's to another twenty-five years and the countless lives you will undoubtedly touch.
