I'm currently a doctoral candidate in literature and theory at Kent State - but the Wick Poetry Center has a magnetic way of drawing a diverse crowd of nonpoets, too! As the 2006-2009 Graduate Assistant to the NEOMFA consortium (also directed by Maggie Anderson), I've enjoyed lots of "crossover" moments working with the Wick Poetry Center. From designing the annual report to assisting in the production of the Wick anniversary anthology, The Next of Us Is About to be Born, I have been honored to be a part of the extended Wick poetry family. (Do I even need to mention that these people are more fun to be around than a punch-drunk monkey?) Put me down as a Wick fan for life - er, or would that be a Wick cousin?
